Alpaca Heaven

Alpacas have surged in popularity, captivating people worldwide with their irresistibly cute appearance and gentle demeanour. Often described as having a “teddy bear” look, their large, soulful eyes, long necks, and varied, soft fleece (which comes in over 20 natural shades) make them instantly endearing.

Their quiet, calming presence acts as a soothing antidote to busy lifestyles, frequently leading them to be used as therapeutic companions. Their non-threatening, curious nature makes them safe around children, while their low-impact farming style, utilising soft-padded feet rather than hard hooves, makes them popular with landowners.

Alpaca farmer Kerry from Ayrshire expressed an interest in extending her marketing activities and, with this in mind, an assignment was proposed to provide four images suitable for cards, mugs and other alpaca-based paraphernalia. One image was required for a possible Christmas card.

Simplicity, high colour for impact and fun were the essential ingredients.
